Physiotherapy (ACC registered)
Lisa offers physiotherapy to remediate impairments and promote mobility and function. This form of therapy is used to improve a patient's quality of life through examination, diagnosis, prognosis, physical intervention, and patient education.
Lisa is a trained physical therapists since 1999.
Lymphatic massage and massage therapy
Manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) is a type of massage based on preliminary evidence which is hypothesized to encourage the natural drainage of the lymph, which carries waste products away from the tissues back toward the heart. Since 2016 Lisa is a graduated Lymphoedema practitioner as per ALA guidelines.
Sport & Injury Rehabilitation
Sport and injury rehabilitation aims to enhance and restore functional ability and quality of life to those with physical impairments due to sport or injuries. Lisa specializes in restoring optimal function to people with injuries to the muscles, bones, ligaments, or nervous system.

About Lisa
Born and raised in the Italian part of Switzerland, Lisa obtained her diploma in Physiotherapy in 1999.
During her extensive travelling the following year, Lisa fell in love with New Zealand and she has since embraced the Kiwi life-style.
Lisa enjoys sport, art & craft and she keeps active by running after her busy family.
In the past Lisa has been working at public and private hospitals, retirement villages and sport clinics.
Lisa has been living and working in Torbay since 2010 and is part of various local community groups. In 2017 she opened Helping Hands Physiotherapy, her 'boutique-style' physiotherapy clinic.
Over the years Lisa has developed a particular interest in musculo-skeletal dysfunctions and posture-related neck and headache problems.
She regularly attends professional development courses and keeps up to date with new treatment protocols and procedures. Manual mobilisation, targeted exercising, therapeutic massage, Lymphatic Drainage, Myofascial & Scar Tissue Release are just some of the treatment options available.
